Pokhara–At least 16 persons were killed and 10 other injured when a passenger bus met with an accident along the Doti Dadeldhura Dr KI Singh Highway at Raduwa Khola in Dadeldhura district this evening. six of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
Dadeldhura DSP Dambar KC said the death toll could rise as bus plunged 300 meter down from the road in Amargadhi municipality- 11.
According to District Police Office Dadeldhura, the bus was going back to Doti taking the passengers of Ugratara Festival of Amargadhi Municipality.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepali Army personnel and local people are busy in rescue operation that is being affected by dark night and difficult geography.
It is assumed that some 35 passengers were travelling the ill-fated Peace Zone Academy Doti School bus but the cause of the accident is yet to be known.
