Rs 1M cheque handed over to the widow of trekking supporter

Pokhara– Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki provided a life insurance amount of NPR 1 million to the family of Tul Bahadur Gurung, 59, who had lost his life while trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp on September 16th, 2023.

The insurance amount was given to Mina Kumari Gurung, the widow of the late Tul Bahadur Gurung amid a program organized in TAAN premises.  Gurung as a supporter tragically lost his life when he was trekking between Chhomrong and Jhinu of Annapurna Rural Municipality- 11, Kaski. The expedition was organized by the Eastern Light Treks and Expedition.

The program had the presence of representatives from Siddhartha Insurance of Gandaki, Govinda Devkota, and Eastern Light Company, Dev Shrestha. TAAN Gandaki Chairman Dharma Raj Panthi expressed gratitude to all the former presidents, advisers, members, communication staff, and others present at the program for their various forms of support provided during the tragic accident, on behalf of TAAN Gandaki.
