Nepal APF Club outplay host Sahara Club

Pokhara—Nepal APF Club defeated host Sahara Club Pokhara (SCP) 1-0 in the opening match of the 19^th Aaha Rara Football Tournament at Pokhara Stadium on Saturday.

Ashish Lama contributed a solitary goal to take APF in the semi-final of the tournament. Rival team goalie Deep Karki failed to judge the ball as man of the match Lama guided the ball to the goalpost. Winner APF meets the winner between Sankata Club and Manang Marshyangdi Club in the first semi-final match.

A total of eight teams including a team from overseas are taking part in the tournament, informed SCP Chairman Keshab Bahadur Thapa. Earlier National Sports Council member secretary Ramesh Kumar Bista inaugurated the tournament which has been principally sponsored by Himshree Foods Pvt. Ltd.
