Nepal Communist Party (NCP) gets certificate of registration

Pokhara—Nepal Communist Part (NCP) has formally been registered in Election Commission Nepal on Wednesday. Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has given the certification of registration to CPN General Secretary Bishnu Paudel in formers office today.

NCP leader Subash Nembang informed that the certificate was received following an application lodged in EC right after the dissolution of former CPN-UML and CPN-MC to form a single NCP. As newly formed NCP lack 33 percent women in its central committee, Nembang made clear that the constitutional provision would be fulfilled following the general convention of newly united party.

The newly formed party has been registered in 145 serial number of EC registration book. NCP leaders Nembang, Dev Gurung and others have reached EC to have a certificate of registration. CPN-UML and CPN-MC have been merged on May 17.
