At least 29 killed in Afghanistan mosque attack

Afghanistan—At least 29 people were killed and dozens other injured when a suicide bomb went off in Western Afghanistan the day before. Attacker targeted Shi’ite mosque in Heart.

According to international media report some 64 people got injured during the attack. As per the Reuters information more than 1,700 people have been killed in attacks in Afghanistan so far this year. Citing a witness, media report said that a suicide bomber who detonated explosives and at least one other, a gunman who threw grenades at worshipers.

There is a President Ashraf Ghani ruled government which has been backed by Western in Afghanistan. During the attack, two unknown persons entered the mosque and begun shooting and throwing grenades at the worshipers. No group or person has taken the responsibility of attack yet and Taliban also denied the hand in the attack.
