Pokhara—A total of 20 foreigners put on Tika during a Bhai Tika Festival organized by Pachimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) at Lakeside in Pokhara today.
Tourists from China, Russia, Germany, France, Cambodia, and Belarus took part in the festival and received Tika from the female students from Rainbow Children Home Pokhara.
According to PHAP Chairman Laxman Subedi, the festival aims to promote the tourism of Pokhara through the Nepali culture like Bhi Tika which is the last day of Tihar, the festival of lights.
Program coordinator and PHAP first vice-chairman Deepak Shrestha said that the program was concluded successfully and with full of enjoyment. In the beginning, PHAP general secretary Rajendra Dhakal delivered brief information about Tihar and Bhai Tika to the foreign participants. The program was followed by Tihar songs and a cultural program.
