At least six persons killed in Nepal’s bus accident

Nawalparasi–At least six persons were killed when a passenger bus of Paschim Nepal Bus Entrepreneur Committee met with an accident at Arun Khola in Madhyabindu Municipality- 11 of Nawalparasi district this morning.

Five persons faced spot death and Tilak Bista, 35, of Gulmi succumbed to injury at Old Medical College Bharatpur. Other deceased are Sohan Karki, 11 of Morang, Ramjit Rai, 27, of Bhojpur, Abdul Ansari, 32, of Sunsari and Biddhya Nand Yadav of Bihari, India. One of the deceased identity is to be known.

The overloaded bus Lu 1 Kha 8454 that left Itahari and was heading for Bhairahawa plunged some 50 meter down fron the road at around 5 am along the East-West High Way. According to SP Ramesh Thapa, as driver fell asleep or deem light and high speed caused the accident. 27 injured passengers are getting treatment at Old Medical College Bharatpur.
