Province 4 CM Gurung takes vote of confidence

Pokhara—Province 4 Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has taken vote of confidence today. He garnered two third majority of votes in an assembly meeting held in Nadipur of Pokhara.

Gurung got 41 votes as he requested to vote him in an assembly meeting on Friday. Opponent sides got only 17 votes. Gurung was appointed CM as left alliance of CPN-UML and CPN-MC supported him. Rastriya Janamorcha also supported Gurung today. He was appointed CM on February 16.

Netranath Adhikari who became speaker of Province 4 from CPN-MC quota didn’t cast vote. CPN-UML has 27 assembly members in Province 4 and CPN-MC has 12. Janamorcha has 3 members in this assembly. In opponent side, Nepali Congress has 15 and Naya Shakti Nepal has 2 assembly members. Rajiv Gurung aka Deepak Manage has been remaining absent in assembly meeting due to conviction.
