Pokhara—On the occasion of Lions Club International centenary celebration, 100 noted personalities of various fields of Nepali society were felicitated in Pokhara on Satruday. Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun, Province 4 Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, Province 4 Governor Baburam Kunwar and Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC felicitated those personalities in a formal program organized at Pokhara Exhibition Center in Nayabazaar.
However 10 of the 100 personalities failed to attend in the program. Billionaire industrialist Binon Chaudhary, lyricist Chetan Karki, culturist Dr. Jagman Gurung, comedians Hari Bansha Acharya, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Sitaram Kattel aka Dhurmus, superstar Rajesh Hamal, culturist Tirtha Shrestha, journalist Rabi Lamichhane including other were felicitated during a program.
The program was organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Lions Club of International, informed Lions Club International District 325 B 1 Nepal District Governor Dhanraj Acharya. Lions Club of International former Director Sanjay Khetan, International representative Jagadish Gulati, comedian Hari Bansha Acharya, Lions district first vice governor Ashok Kumar Shrestha, secretary Chandi Prasad Aryal also expressed their views during the program.
Earlier, a rally was started from Pokhara City Hall to reach program venue at Naya Bazaar. Mini trucks were used as chariot where noted personality traveled to reach the venue. That was also the part of their honor.
