Barsa Man Pun survives roadside explosion

Pokhara—A day after the bombs hurling at CPN-MC leader Janardan Sharma travelling vehicle (Ba 15 Cha 4628), a mine explosion has suffered a vehicle traveled by same party leader Barsa Man Pun at Bhittabang of Madi Rural Municipality- 1, in Rolpa today.

Leader Pun along all the travelers in that vehicle are said to be safe however the part of the vehicle damaged due to the explosion, informed Pun who is the left alliance candidate in that district. CPN-MC proportional representative candidate Jayapuri Ghari and Maoist candidate of Rolpa constituency number 2 Dipendra Pun including leader Ishwor Gharti of CPN-UML were also travelling same vehicle. Leader Pun claimed that the explosion was carried out with a motive of murdering of left alliance leaders.

A team of police have reached to the incident site and the situation now is said to be normal. No force and party have taken the responsibility of today’s and yesterday’s incident however Biplav led Nepal Communist Party Maoist hand has been believed behind the incident.

Former Finance Minister Pun including his team was coming back to Ghartigaun after completing Friday’s mass electoral rally of Sukidaha. Nepal is going to hold parliamentary and provincial polls on November 26 and December 7. Leaders and political parties are now in their election campaign but the Biplav led Maoist has been protesting the polls.
