Bhai Tika Festival to be held in Pokhara

Pokhara–Western Regional Hotel Association (WRHA) Pokhara is to organize a 11th Bhai Tika Festival 2017 on October 21 at Butterfly Child Care Center Lakeside in Pokhara.

Bhai Tika is celebrated on the last day of five-day long Tihar which is known as the festival of lights and assumed 2nd largest festival of Nepal as per Hinduism. According to tradition, sisters offer Tika to their brothers during that day. Even brothers do same at the moment.

With a slogan- Celebrate Deepawali (Tihar) like Nepalese do in a vibrant city of Pokhara, such opportunity rarely comes to your life, the WRHA Pokhara is going to offer such celebration in USD 15 that includes verities of delicious festive foods, drinks, gift items and token of love, informed event coordinator and WRHA Pokhara first vice chairman Laxman Subedi.

According to WRHA Pokhara Chairman Bikal Tulachan, the main motive behind the festival is a promotion of tourism through traditional Nepali culture. The festival also aims the onservation of Nepali culture and intensification of brotherhood and sisterhood among the world people, informed festival joint coordinator Keshav Raj Pahari.
