Landslips kill 11 people in Nepal

Picture: Parvat Sen—Pokhara: Landslips killed all total 11 people wounding 3 in Pyuthan and Gorkha district of Nepal on Tuesday.

The landslip claimed five lives of a single family as the house of Durga Bahadur Malla from Rajwara- 3, Pyuthan was hit in the morning time following the incessant rainfall. His wife Sita, daughters Sushila, Srijana and Lekha including him were killed as landslip buried their house, informed Ministry of Home Affairs Nepal.

Similarly, Punja VDC 3 of Pyuthan also faced similar kind of incident that killed Hum Bahadur Sunar and his wife Satya Devi as well as their daughter Sima as their house was collapsed. The government of Nepal has claimed that the required rescue operation is undergoing in the sites.

Likewise in Gorkha’s Kerauja VDC 3, landslip killed Kanchhimaya Gurung, Chinmaya Gurung and Sandip Ghale wounding another 3. They were busy on repairing of a road. According to media report, the flood in Bhotekoshi swiped way the bailey bridge of Middle Bhotekoshi Hydro Project.
