Four children killed in Lekhnath landslide

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara:  At least four children were killed and two wounded as a landslide buried a house in Lekhnanath Municipality- 4, Kharane Phant of Nepal’s Kaski district, last night.

Two are male and two are female among the deceased. According to District Police Office Kaski spokesperson and DSP Gaju Siddhi Bajracharya, Rajina Sunwar 9, Angila BK 7, Nishan Sunwar 14 and Salman Tamang 3 lost their lives as the mudslide buried a house, they were sleeping in.

Sabina Sunar 10 and Kavita Sunar 25 who injured during the incident were rescued by police personnel following the incident that happened at around 11.30 PM during incessant rainfall. All, beside Salman are the sons and daughters of the house owner Chandrakali BK.

Similarly, Bodhraj Timilsina and her wife Bhima Devi were injured as landslide hit their their two storey cemented house last night in Kalika village development committee- 6, Sunpadeli Kaski. They are undergoing treatment in Western Regional Hospital Pokhara. Landslide also buried their scooter and two buffaloes.

Likewise, Deu Bahadur Nepali 62, from Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan- 28 Armala, injured when landslide hit his house last night. He had taken to hospital as he sustained wound in his legs.
