Pokhara–Host Sahara Club Pokhara thrashed Brigade Boys Club 3-2 in the opening match of 18th Aaha Rara Gold Cup Football Tournament here in Pokhara Stadium on Thursday.
Tridev Gurung of SCP made decisive goal in 12th minute of extra time as the match saw 2-2 in regular 90-minute game. Foreign player Ulrich Siewi and Tridev of SCP contributed 1 goal each in regular time, while BBC players Rajesh Pariyar and Bijay Gurung also scored 1 goal each.
BBC player Jivan Rayrmajhi saw double yellow card to march out of the ground to confine BBC in 10 players. Armed Police Force APF Club take on Jhapa 11 on Friday match. Earlier, SCP felicitated national football player Sujal Shrestha in the opening ceremony. Gandaki Province Chif Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung felicitated Shrestha who got Rs 35000 from SCP.
