PM Dahal to visit India, USA

Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Picture:—Pokhara: Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda is to visit United States of America to participate the 71st General Assembly of United Nations. He is scheduled to visit India on September 15 and leaves for USA on September 19, right after his comeback to Nepal from India on September 18.

A team of delegates led by PM Dahal will leave for New Yourk to take part in the assembly. PM Dahal, Foreign Affairs Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat, Foreign Affairs secretary Shankar Das Bairagi including other will be incorporated in the visit team.

According to source, as per the agreement clinched before forging that government, PM Dahal is planning to table a statute amendment motion in parliament before his India visit. The issue of statute amendment couldn’t be discussed as Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba was in Singapore for his health treatment.

According to Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, ruling partners are preparing to forward statue amendment bill following the arrival of NC president Deuba. The bill will be prepared after a discussion with Madheshi forces. NC and CPN-MC will try to convince the opposition parties CPN-UML and RPP Nepal for the amendment of the statue.

PM Dahal will come back to Nepal from USA on September 28 however the ruling parties wish to table statue amendment bill before PM visit to India and USA. The government will try to sort out all the dissatisfactions over constitution before the possible visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping to Nepal on mid October.
