Croatia reaches final for the first time, to take on France

Pokhara—Croatia stunned England 2-1 and reached the final of FIFA World Cup being held in Russia, this morning.

England’s Kieran Trippier scored first in 5th minute but Croatia’s Ivan Perisic leveled it in 68th minute. As the match stuck in 1-1 draw within regular 90 minute time, referee added another 30 extra minute in attempt to break deadlock. At this point, Croatia’s Mario Mandzukic scored decisive goal in 109th minute to meet France in final on July 15.

Croatia collapsed England’s dream to reach final after 52 years. England which is the champion of 1966 had reached semi final after 28 years of gap. England and Croatia were meeting for the 8th time in this world cup but latter reached final for the first time in the history of world cup.
