NRB unveils Monetary Policy

Pokhara—Nepal Rastra Bank which is central bank of Nepal has announced the Monetary Policy for upcoming fiscal 2075/076 today. According to NRB Governor Chirinjeevi Nepal, the police has formulated as per the spirit of the budget of same fiscal.

The policy projects the eight percent of economic growth in upcoming fiscal. Likewise, the inflation rate would be confined within 6.5 percent and such percent won’t be exceeded beyond that limit as the inflation from demand side would be confided in certain limit.

The policy also reduced the spread rate to 4 percent from existing five percent. Similarly, loan issuing in the collateral of academic certificates also is the important program of the monetary policy.

Interest rate control, reduction of 4 percent CRR from 6 percent, financial inclusion and financial literacy programs also have been included in the monetary policy.
