PCCI welcomes PSM new CEO

Pokhara: Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City Office’s (PSMCO) Chief Executive Officer Bhim Bahadur Kunwar said that the city is going to be a metropolitan city soon.

Talking in a program organized to welcome him by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Kunwar informed that the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development ministry ordered him to work towards the preparation for the metropolitan.

He also said that the Pokhara will be a head quarter of constituency number IV so, according to him, as the physical infrastructures will be developed the announcement of metropolitan will be come into effect.

PCCI chairman Bindu Kumar Thapa said that the newly announced budget has addressed some of the demands of Pokhara but the programs and tasks offered by Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City Office should be people friendly. He also said that the jointly effort by PSMCO and PCCI could be convert Pokhara into an international city.

Former PCCI deputy general secretary Shivaji Koirala, City REBAN Kaski chairman KP Sharma, PCCI executive member Bishow Shankar Palikhe, PCCI first vice president Dev Chhetri, 2nd vice president Min Raj Kafle, PSMCO internal account chief Ananta Prasad Koirala expressed their remarks during the welcome program.
