Acute mountain sickness kills Indian national

Pokhara—An Indian national died of high altitude sickness in Nepal’s Mustang district on Wednesday at around 1.15 pm, Regional Police Office Gandaki informed.

Ms Saralu Nadu, 61, who was staying at Hotel Holiday Jomsom in Gharapjhong Rural Municipality- 3 of that district and succumbed to acute mountain sickness. According to Superintendent of Police Deepak Regmi, she was from Chhatigad Raipur of India. A team of police reached that hotel as the information of her expiry received.

Similarly, 23 persons who were trekking to Tilicho Lake in Manang district have been rescued this afternoon. A total of 33 trekkers including Indonesians, Nepali and some supporters stranded while their trekking. But a chopper rescued the trekkers and their supporters, informed Police.
