Five killed in Pyuthan bus plunge

Pokhara—Five persons were killed on the spot when a passenger bus met with accident at Pakuri of Saruma Rani Rural Municipality- 4 in Pyuthan distirct this morning. Some 25 persons wounded in the accident. Five of the critical injured were taken to Butwal and rest were brought to district hospital Bijuwar.

According to District Police Office Pyuthan, the Mahakali Yatayat Na 4 Kha 1876 bus was heading for Pyuthan district headquarter Khalanga from Mahendranagar and plunged some 100 meter down at around 3 am as it arrived Baddanda.

According to Pyuthan DSP Rajendra Pokhrel, deceased have been identified bus driver Biru Dhaudhary, 26 of Kailali, Hira Tamata, 16 of Pyuthan, Sabita Sharma, 26 of same district, Hari Malla, 22 of Pyuthan and Sarita Chand, 31 of Kanchanpur. Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
