Two pilgrims killed in Taplejung pickup van accident

Pokhara—At least two pilgrims were killed five wounded when a pickup van they were travelling met with an accident in Phungling Municipality- 10 along the Bhalugaunde – Suketar road section of Taplejung on Monday.

Pilgrims were going back to their home after worshiping the Pathibhara goddess. Deceased have been identified as Anita Thapa Ghimire, 25 of Urlabari- 4 and Homraj Ghimire, 30.

According to DSP Gyanendra Bahadur Basnet, Anita faced spot death when Homraj succumbed to injury at district hospital. Injured three are getting treatment in district hospital, reports RSS, According to information, the overloaded van with a number plate Me 1 Ja 1308 fell 200 meter down from the road as it went uncontrolled due to break fail.
