Lamjung–One person has going missing as a loaded truck plunged into Marshyangdi River at Syange in Taghring of Marshyangdi Rural Municipality- 4 Lamjung today. Two persons have been rescued after the accident.
According to District Police Office Lamjung, the Tata mini truck with a number plate Ba 2 Kha 9606 was heading to Manang district from from Kathmandu.
The accident site situates some 24 kilometers north from the Lamjung headquarter Beshishahar. The truck plunged some 75 meters down to the river at around 9.30 in the morning.
According to news report injured driver Anil Shrestha from Dhading and Subash Adhikari, account officer of District Helath Office Manang, who were rescued in the accident site were sent to Beshishar for treatment.
Missing person is said to be a helper of the driver. The cause of the accident is due to be identified however the ill-fated truck reportedly lost the control as its break failed in the truing.
