Direct bus service connects Pokhara, New Delhi

Recentfusion.com–Pokhara:  The direct bus service between Pokhara and New Delhi has formally commenced from July 11. Home minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet and Indian ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae jointly inaugurated that service in Pokhara on Monday.

Addressing an inaugural program Basnet said that the service would help to uplift the relationship between two countries. He also added that the bus service would be a corner stone to promote the tourism of Pokhara in India. Similarly Ambassador Rae informed that the service is first of its kind in SAARC region. He also requested the entrepreneurs and the concern bodies to find the more destinations in India to run the such direct bus service in the days to come.

The Nepal India friendly bus service is a part of understanding between Nepal and India last year. Modern Era Tours and Travels Nepal and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation had already clinched a agreement to run such service,informed METT president Keshav Prasad Adhikari. Four buses from each company will provide the service in Pokhara-Delhi route.
