Chile lift Copa America title beating Argentina 4-2

Lionel Messi misses his penalty–Pokhara:  Chile lifted the title of Copa America 2016 defeating Argentina 4-2 in a penalty shootout to break the goalless regular time and extra time on Monday. Chile also became a first country after Argentina to repeat the title after Argentina in 1946/47.

With 81000 viewers in Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, star footballer Lionel Messi missed his penalty shot. In penalty Chile’s Vidal effort was foiled by rival keeper. Now it was turn Messi but his effort gone missed. Castillo of Chile scored for 1-0. And Mascherano of Argentina also scored for 1-1.

 Charles Aranguiz for Chile also scored for his team 2-1. Now Sergio Aguero for Argentina scored to level the game 2-2. Jean Beausejour for Chile also did his job for 3-2. But Lucas Biglia for Argentina’s effort was gone useless. Finally Francisco Silva for Chile scored into corner to lift the title with 4-2 victory.
