Martial Arts Hapkido Association Gandaki elects new executive body

Pokhara—MB Astha Magar has been unanimously elected as a chairman of Nepal Martial Arts Hapkido Association (NMAHA) Gandaki Province. Likewise, Tara Maya Thapa Magar and Khem Bahadur Gurung were selected as vice-chairmen of NMAHA.

The NMAHA first convention that concluded the day before also picked Prem Budha Magar as secretary, Arjun Gaha Magar as joint-secretary, and Madan Kumar GC as treasurer. Krishna Prasad Koirala, Bina Kumari Pun, Chandra Kumari Parajuli, Sabi Shrechan, Shyam Bahadur Shrestha, Narendra Kumar Karki, Kimi Chhyoten Gurung, Gita Rana, and Ramu Darai have been given the responsibility of executive member in the new committee.   

At the same time, the first meeting of NMAHA also nominated four advisors- Indra Dhara Bista, Kirshna Kumari Shrestha, Shreeman Gurung, and Dr. Krishna Prasad Paudel. Election committee coordinator Manoj Gharti Magar, who has been appointed a legal advisor of NMAH Gandaki, administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new executives who were given the certificates by election committee members Rishram Gautam and Rudra Shrees Magar.

Earlier, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Poverty Alleviation Chandra Bahadur Budha Magar inaugurated the convention and wished for the best to the Nepali players who are going to take part in the World Hapkido Competition that is going to be held in Russia.

Similarly, Gandaki Sports Council Member Secretary Tej Bahadur Gurung, NMAHA Chairman and Federation of South Asian Martial Arts Hapkido Association Chairman Kali Bahadur Gharti Magar, Kaski District Sports Development Committee Chairman Toran Baniya and NMAHA Gandaki vice president Tara Maya Thapa Magar also put their remarks during the program chaired by MB Astha Magar.
