FoNIJ Gandaki holds interactions on positive thinking, tourism promotion of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality

Pokhara—The Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists (FoNIJ) Gandaki has organized a two-day-long tourism promotion and capacity building-related interactions at Ghachok in Kaski on Saturday and Sunday. Minister for Law, Communication and Province Affairs (LCPA) Gandaki Bindu Kumar Thapa inaugurated the program amid a formal ceremony.

According to FoNIJ Gandaki Chairman MB Ashtha Magar, his organization would like to promote domestic especially village-centered tourism to make the people and nation prosperous. He further added that journalists with positive thinking could only change society and develop tourism. The program was assisted by LCPA Gandaki and Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality (MRM) Kaski.

The first interaction was based on positive thinking for the capacity building of journalists and the second was on the role of media for the prosperity and tourism promotion of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality, Kaski. Sudan Gyawali and Tikaram Sapkota played the role of resource persons in those interactions respectively. MRM chairman Karna Bahadur Gurung talked about positive thinking and tourism promotion of his local level underlining the opening of the Mt. Fishtail for mountaineering purposes.

Journalists Milan Limbu, Shanti Gurung, Govinda Subedi, Madhav Baral, Pratap Rana, LCPA section officer Khubi Ram Pokhrel, MRM Chief Administrative Officer Khemraj Devkota, MRM  Ward 1 chairman Birendra Gurung, MRM spokesperson and ward 4 chairman Purna Bahadur Shahi put their short views during the programs. LCPA acting secretary Kashiram Pokhrel, journalist Keshav Sharan Lamichhane, and FoNIJ treasurer Amardhoj Lama also put their presentations during the program.
