Over two dozens houses damaged, at least six people injured in Lamjung earthquake

Pokhara—At least six people injured and more than two dozen houses destroyed when at least three earthquakes hit Nepal’s Lamjung district on Wednesday morning. The first tremor felt at around 5.42 am and the second one happened at 8.26. Likewise, the third quake happened at 8.26 am.

According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the earthquakes were measured 5.8, 4.0, and 5.3 Richter scale respectively. According to District Police Office Lamjung, the injured are being treated at Lamjung Hospital. One of the critically injured has been sent to a Chitwan-based hospital for further treatment.  

The tremor also felt in Gorkha, Tanahu, and Kaski districts. People panicked and went out of their homes as most of them are locked down inside their houses due to Covid- 19 pandemic.
