KP Oli reappointed Prime Minister of Nepal

By Rup Narayan Dhakal : Pokhara– CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been reappointed as the Prime Minister of Nepal. President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Oli as the largest party’s PM as per the article 76-3 of Nepal’s Constitution. The third time PM Oli need to take a vote of confidence within a month. The swearing in programme is scheduled for tomorrow.

President Bhandari had given three-day time to political parties to form a majority government as per article 76- 2 of constitution as Oli failed to garner a vote of confidence on May 10 and became a caretaker PM.

Main opposition Nepali Congress, CPN-MC and a faction of Janata Samajbadi Party’s attempt to collect majority lawmakers to form a new government could not succeeded untill given deadline 9pm this night. 136 lawmakers out of total 271 lawmakers need to form a new government as per article 76-2.
