CFP Green Buildings Netherlands support Tangting for sustainable tourism

Pokhara—The CFP Green Buildings Netherlands which has been working in the field of sustainability has supported the rural tourism entrepreneurs from Tangting village, a famous tourist destination in Kaski of Nepal’s Gandaki Province.

According to Ekajang Grung, a local ward member, CFP supported $15151 (NPR 1775000) to buy low beds, furniture, chairs, table, and dustbins for 14 homestays and five hotels of that village.

The Ujyalo Multipurpose Learning Center for Rural People (UMLCRP) from Madi Rural Municipality ward 2 took initiation to make all that happen. UMLCRP Chairman and tourism activist Mr. Prakash Gurung hoped that the support from CFP will be helpful to uplift the living standard of rural people.  

Similarly, the village also made a documentary, village website, map, brochure, poster, and a book to promote the rural tourism of that village. Those materials also are the parts of the support from CFP. Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung made public those materials on the occasion of 41st Tourism Day in Pokhara on September 27.

Gandaki Province Tourism Minister Bikash Lamsal, province assembly member Rajiv Pahari and Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC assisted CM Gurung during that time.
