PHAP holds AGM in Pokhara

Pokhara—Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) is to promote Pokhara in Bangladesh and Kolkata in near future, informed PHAP General Secretary Ganesh Raj Pahari in the 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of this organization, held in Pokhara on Saturday.

According to PHAP Chairman Bikal Tulachan, his organization has been carrying out such promotional campaigns in domestic market as Jaun Hai Pokhara (Let’s go to Pokhara) and Chaliye Pokhara (Let’s go to Pokhara) in Indian Market annually for years.

Addressing the AGM, chairman Tulachan urged the government to declare Pokhara as a tourist capital of Nepal. He also stressed on the need of infrastructure development to lure more tourisst in Gandaki Province and Nepal.

Earlier, Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) Mayor Man Bahadur GC inaugurated the AGM amid a formal ceremony in Lakeside, Pokhara. At the same time, Mayor GC suggested the PHAP and respective government agencies to maintain the data of visiting tourists in Pokhara.   

Similarly, Hotel Association Nepal General Secretary Sajan Shakya, PHAP immediate past president Bharat Raj Parajuli and PHAP General Secretary Ganesh Raj Pahari put their remarks during the AGM.
