By Rup Narayan Dhakal : Pokhara–Visiting President of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid has arrived to Pokhara on the sideline of his four day goodwill visit to Nepal, on Thursday. Hamid was welcomed by Gandaki Province Governor Amik Sherchan and acting Chief Minister of Gandaki Province and Finance Minister Kiran Gurung at Pokhara Airport.
He arrived Pokhara in Nepali Army’s chopper at around 12 am. Then, President Hamid also enjoyed 40-minute boat ride in Phewa Lake. After boating, he will take lunch in Fishtail Lodge which is situated in the shores of that lake. He remains in Fishtail Lodge for an hour. Before boating, President Hamid was welcomed by the entrepreneurs and social workers of Pokhara at Lakeside.
As per the schedule, after boating and lunch, he will fly for Rupakot Resort at Rupakot of Kaski in Army Chopper. He will stay for an hour in that resort. Gandaki Province Internal Affairs and Law Minister Hari Bahadur Chuman, Gandaki Province Government Spokesperson and Physical Infrastructure Minister Ramsharan Basnet, Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Govinda Nepali including others will welcome President Hamid at Rupakot. Currently, Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung is having the United States of America visit.
After Rupakot, Prisident Hamid will return to Kathmandu at 4 pm this afternoon. All the arrangement of his visit to Pokhara has been carried out by Gandaki Province Government. According to Kaski Chief District Officer Ramesh KC, Hamid’s visit in Pokhara will be totally informal and there is not set any official program.
