Pokhara—The fourth edition of the Bengal Travel Mart 2019 is undergoing in Siliguri of northeast India. The 3-day long event was inaugurated on Tuesday. Entrepreneurs from Nepal, Bhutan and India are taking part in the mart.

On that occasion, entrepreneurs have agreed to promote the destinations situated in each other’s nation in collective way. As snow capped Himalayan range has been extended between Bhutan to Afghanistan, entrepreneurs beneath those mountains have come into a point to forge common tourism policy to promote the tourism.

The Eastern Himalaya Travel and Tour Operators Association (ETHOA) which is organizing that mart and Pokhara Tourism Council had clinched an understanding five year ago to work for tourism promotion together. PTC chairman Chirinjibi Pokharel reminded that Pokhara is famous for adventurous tourism and the entrepreneurs under PTC are ready to have partnership with the entrepreneurs from northeast India for the promotion and mutual benefits.

A total of 22 entrepreneurs including journalists from Pokhara are participating the BTM 2019. PTC in association with Nepal Tourism Board is participating in BTM as part of border town sales mission. At the same time NTB Gandaki Province Pokhara officer Surya Thapaliya said that the cultural and typographical similarities between Nepal and northeast India are plus points that help to go hand in hand for cooperative promotion.
