Infant’s dead body found in landfill site

Pokhara—A dead body of a baby boy has been found in the pile of garbage at landfill site in Pokhara Metropolitan City- 14 on Monday.

Workers found that body when they were grading the garbage collected from Pokhara Metropolitan City- 17 on January 6, 2019. A vehicle has collected garbage from Annapurna Street and Yagyashala Street of Birauta.

According to Gandaki Province Police Office, the infant’s body was wrapped in a bed sheet when it was found and workers informed police about the issue. Then police had reached the landfill site for further investigation of the incident.
