Two killed, 24 injured in Nepal road accidents

Pokhara—Two persons were killed and eight other injured when a truck and a micro buses coming from two different directions collided in Tanahun on Monday morning. The truck was heading for Bhairahawa from Pokhara and the micro bus was coming to Pokhara from Damauli met with an accident as they arrived at Manahari in Myagde Rural Municipality- 4.

According to District Police Office Tanahun DSP Shyamu Aryal, deceased have been identified as Sarswati Kunwar and Chijmaya Shrestha of Byas Municipality Tanahun. Injured are getting treatment in Pokhara based Manipan Teaching Hospital, RSS reports. Similarly, 16 persons were injured in separate road accident. A bus and a truck collided in Gaindakot Municipality- 16 along the East-West Highway on Tuesday morning. Two of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
