Ten places to be free Wi-Fi zone in Pokhara

Pokhara—Pokhara Metropolitan City in association with World Link Communications Pvt. Ltd. is to provide free Wi-Fi in 10 locations of this metropolitan city. PMC Mayor Man Bahadur GC and WLC CEO Keshav Nepal on Monday clinched a memorandum of understating to provide that service.

As per the understanding, the Wi-Fi service would be available in Bindhyabasini Temple, Mahendrapul, Childern Park of Parshyang, Barahi Ghat, Manipal Teaching Hospital, Komagane Hospital, Devi’s fall, Sishuwa Hospital, Mandare Park along the Begnas Lake, Lions Community Hospital Lekhnath. During a memorandum signing ceremony, CEO Nepal made clear that the free internet service is a part of their corporate social responsibility.

PMC Mayor GC said that his office is committed in providing internet service to every household of the town to make Pokhara a smart city. He also vowed that the free Wi-Fi service would be expanded in more places of Pokhara in near future. Mayor GC also inaugurated the WLC Pokhara branch in Mobile Tower in Mahendrapul.

WLC Pokhara chief Yousuf Shrestha informed that the free internet service in 10 places of Pokhara would be installed within a month. Earlier, WLC had installed such free service in Western Regional Hospital Pokhara and Pokhara Airport.
