NC condemns government move of scraping political appointments

Kathmandu—Nepali Congress condemed the government recent decision of annulling all the political appointments made by former Sher Bahadur Deuba led government and warned the government to withdraw this move.

Organizing a press meet today, NC claimed that all the political appointment of that time were done following the permission granted by Election Commission. The meeting of council of ministers last night had scraped all the appointment of that time citing the breach of election code of conduct.

The release distributed in press meet reads that the government decision was against the democratic norms. According to NC the government decision is illegal and authoritarian. “The government decision is the open challenge to the opposition for conflict,” NC states in its release. NC also warned of agitation in house and street if the government doesn’t correct its move.
