Pokhara—The 8th Pokhara Festival is to be held from January 11, 2018 in Pokhara. The United Club Pokhara (UCP) is going to organize this festival which will be ended on January 22.
Organizing a press meet in Pokhara on Tuesday, organizing committee informed about the preparation of the festival which is to be coordinated by UCP chairman Suk Bahadur Gurung. According to UCP general secretary and publicity subcommittee coordinator Raju Shrestha, a total of 41 different sub-committees have been formed to host the festival.
About 220 stalls would be installed in the festival that aims to establish a zoo in Pachabhaiya and Chainpur area of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City and to protect the Seti River of Pokhara. The club also has been working in the sector of education, health, sports, tourism and solar light for few years.
The festival will include cultural, musical and comedy shows. Children park, small dummy zoo also would be included in the festival that targets about 2,50,000 visitors. General ticket would cost Rs 80 while 60 rupees for a student ticket to enter the festival that aims the saving of Rs 3.5 million.
