Pokhara—With a hat-trick of Abinas Tamang, Lakeside FC has lifted a title of Simpani Cup fifth Seven A side football tournament here in Pokhara today. Defeating Bishnupaduka Club 4-0, Lakeside bagged 0.2 million rupees cash including a trophy.
Bishnupaduka from Hemja of Pokhara received 1 lakh rupees cash and trophy in a concluding ceremony of the tournament organized by Trishakti Samaj Sewa Club of Simpani. Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City ward number- 1 chairperson Ms Sharada Parajuli handed over cash prize and trophies to winner and runner up team.
Sunil BK of Lakeside FC also contributed a goal to his club. Abinas also bagged a prize of high scorer of the tournament. He scored a total of 9 goals to bag Rs 10,000 cash as prize. Prabin Thapa of Bishnupaduka was declared as best player of the tournament. He also bagged Rs 10,000 cash. Likewise, Sharanpur FC of Chitwan got the trophy of fair play.
A total of 26 teams vied for the title of the tournament that was sponsored by Hima-Aus Education Consultancy.
