DIG Silwal joins CPN-UML

Kathmandu—Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police Nawaraj Silwal took a ticket of CPN-UML today in Kathmandu. Party Chiarman KP Sharma Oli offered red tika to Silwal and singer Sanjay Shrestha including others to welcome them in his party in a special program organized in Kathmandu today.
Speaking at a program Silwal said that he entered politics and joined CPN-UML wishing others for not to be political victimized as according to him, he faced that condition. He accused the government of making him politically victim and vowed to contribute the nation through politics in the days to come.

Former DIG Silwal resorted to the court against the decision of former government that appointed Jaya Bahadur Chand as IGP. But the government has appointed Prakash Aryal as IGP when the court stayed the government former decision citing that Chand has less mark than Silwal in work-done evaluation.

The government didn’t even promote the Silwal for filing the case in court. Silwal had also resigned from his post as DIG accusing the court for not giving the justice however his resignation is yet to be approved.
