PLMC CEO, DIGs, SSP feliciated in Pokhara

Pokhara—Six business and tourism related organizations from Pokhara have jointly felicitated and welcomed Pokhara based local level and security agencies’ chiefs in Pokhara on Tuesday.

Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City (PLMC) Chief Executive Officer Dirgha Narayan Paudel, Nepal Police DIG Madhu Prasad Pudasaini from Western Regional Police Office, APF western Regional DIG Subodh Adhikari, National Investigation Department Western Regional Director and DIG Rabindra Pandit and Gandaki Zonal Police Office SSP Bishnuhari Gautam were welcomed and felicitated during the program.

Pokhara Tourism Council (PTC), Western Regional Hotel Association (WRHA) Pokhara, Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association, Pokhara, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Regional Association Pokhara, Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara Chapter and Pokhara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCI) jointly hosted that program initiated by PCCI.

Speaking in a program, PCCI Chairman Bishwo Shankar Palikhe pledged on behalf of all the private sector that they will play positive role to make local level election a grand success. He also said that ongoing Pokhara solar street light project and Pokhara water treatment program were the examples of public private partnership model.

FNCCI former Chairman Anand Raj Mulmi expressed his dissatisfaction over the lenthy name of newly formed Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City. He also stressed on the managed road traffic in Pokhara. PLMC office CEO Paudel answered Mulmi that only the elected council of local level could amend the name of this metropolitan city. Paudel also informed that his office’s focus is on clean Pokhara. According to him, he is working against the unsystematic land plotting in the city.

DIG Pudasaini said that the responsibility towards successful local level election is the opportunity for police. Stressing on responsible policing, he also claimed that the police is successful in curbing the crimes in societies.  APF DIG Adhikari appreciated the contribution of private sector that have been contributed in the effort of prosperous Nepal. DIG Pandit made clear that all the investigations carry out by his office are done for security and well being of the society. SSP Gautam said that police is always ready to control all the misdeeds in the society.
