Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: A sinkhole occurred under a running bus on the pitched road of Pokhara on Tuesday morning.
The road collapsed creating a big ditch as a bus was being passed above the site. According to a local youth Subash Adhikari, the bus with a number plate Ga 1 Kha 7033 suddenly faced the abnormal situation as the road under the bus collapsed with a big hole, informed bus driver Sarbojit Regmi.
Using a crane, the bus has already been removed from the hole-site and it was heading to Lamachaur from Bat Cave before meeting with an accident, informed Pokhara Bus Entrepreneur Committee secretary Amrit Timilsina.
According to Dineshwor Prasad Yadav, the chief of Bindhyabasini Drinking Water Unit, the sinkhole occurred because of the leakage in water supplying pipe under the soil. A pipe from Kali Khola drinking water source goes through that road side.
