PM Dahal calls on Indian President Mukherjee

Recentfusion.com–Kathmandu: Visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee wished to know the progress of constitution amendment process from PM Dahal today. They met in Hyatt Regency Kathmandu and discussed on recent political development of Nepal.

Similarly, President Mukherjee on Thursday got the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (D Litt) from the Kathmandu University, in Kathmandu. At a special convocation ceremony of the University organized in Kathmandu today, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also the ex-officio Chancellor of the University conferred the title on the state guest.

President Mukherjee also visited the Pashupati Temple this moring. He reached there at 10 am and took about one hour to perform a special pooja. Similarly, Mukherjee attended a civic felicitation program organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City in his honour that afternoon.

Former Nepali President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal also called on President Mukherjee today. Mukherjee is scheduled to visit Janakpur and Pokhara tomorrow.
