Nepal qualified for Asian Cup Cricket

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Nepal has been selected for Asian Cup Cricket. Nepali women team was qualified for Asian Cup as Thailand defeated Hong Kong in ICC Women World Cup 2017.

Asian Cup would be held in coming November/December in Thailand. Test playing nations- India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh including host Thailand got direct entry to this championship. Nepal also got chance to compete in that championship though it secured 2nd position in world Cup’s Asian qualifying.

Thailand secured first position with 10 points while Nepal turned 2nd with 6 points in Asian qualifying. Thailand defeated host Hong Kong by 7 wickets on Saturday. Likewise, Nepal outplayed China by 4 wickets today.

Bating first, China had collected total 85 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets. Nepal collected 88 runs in 17.3 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. However, Nepal didn’t get the chance of playing world cup as it was earlier outplayed.
