At least two killed in Pokhara bus accident

The bus that met with an accident and the injured person in hospital. Picture: Sagar Raj Timilsina—Pokhara: At least two persons were killed and 24 other wounded as a passenger bus met with an accident in touristy town Pokhara this morning.

The night bus that was en routing to Burtibang of Baglung from Nepal’s capital Kathmandu veered off the road at Hemja of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City- 27 at around 5 am. According to District Police Office Kaski SP Ghanashyam Aryal, deceased are identified Manrupa Aryal 45, of Neta Gulmi and her 2.5 years old grandson Charchit Aryal.

The bus with number plate Ga 1 Kha 6169 met an accident when it reportedly tried to overtake another vehicle near Yamdi Bridge. According to Police, wounded have been taken to Manipal Teaching Hospital and Western Regional Hospital Pokhara for treatment.
