Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Fifth Sangam Cup 7-a-side Football Tournament has kicked off in Pokhara on Saturday. Devi’s Fall Club outplayed RT Training Center Club 2-0 in a opening match held in Machhapokhari Football Ground.
Kumar Gurung and Sudip Rana scored 1 each to advance Devi’s Fall Club. Similarly, Ekata Football Club defeated Nagidhar Football Club 5-1 in second match. Ganesh Thapa scored hat-trick when Bivek Gurung and Bikram Gurung scored 1 each. Nagidhar’s Manoj Shrestha scored consolation goal, informed organizer Sangam Clubm joint secretary Subash Gurung.
The eight day long tournament was inaugurated by social worker Rabi Sharma. According to Sangaum Club President Shiva Gurung (Maya), all total 47 teams have taken part in the tournament coordinated by Surya Bahadur Gurung. ANFA Kaski vice president Milan Gurung and former national football coach Rajendra Tamang donated 2/2 piece jerseys to the organizer club.
