I had done many rafting trips in Seti River of Pokhara but it was my first experience with Kali Gandaki River, one of the divisions of Nepal Sapta Gandaki River system. Before arriving to Ramdi Ghat of Syngja district in 2008, the rafting starting point, I had imagined that the river would have so many huge rapids but what I got here was totally opposite.

Pokhara: Tourism entrepreneurs of Pokhara have initiated a promo campaign entitled “Jaun Hai Pokhara” to attract domestic tourists to the lakeside city in coordination with tourism entrepreneurs of 15 towns across the country. They had launched a similar campaign in 2001 when the country was engulfed in a conflict and the flow of foreign tourists was shrinking.

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has resorted to take legal action against the officials of Banepa based Samjhana Finance Company and Bara based United Development Bank. The NRB has issued a formal letter to the Nepal Police and ask to take strict legal action against the officials of those two banks, allegedly involved in financial crime. The NRB has clearly mentioned the names of the responsible officials involved in financial crime.

It is informally declared that the Pokhara is the touristy capital of Nepal and it is also a gateway of world famous Annapurna Circuit Trek. Pokhara: Despite interest from Aston Villa, Roberto Martinez has decided to stay at Wigan Athletic. Martinez spoke with Villa chairman Randy Lerner after the American made it clear that the Spaniard is free to fill the position left by Gerard Houllier if he wants to. Wigan chairman Dave Whelan was happy to grant Martinez permission to speak to the midlanders although he was confident that he would hold on to the 37-year-old.
