There is still a chance of anti revolution in Nepal : Prachanda

By Rup Narayan Dhakal : Sikles–Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that there is still a chance of anti revolution in Nepal. He was addressing a mass gathering in Sikles of Kaski on Monday.

‘Some Tarai groups and extremists from hills are trying to sabotage this republic in Nepal’, he claimed. He also praised and remembered the contribution of then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala as well as Nepali Congress leader and then talk committee coordinator Krishna Prasad Sitaula to establish peace in Nepal.

Talking about Sikles-Pokhara road, Prachanda vowed the budget allocation to pitch this off road. The DPR of this 40 Km road has already been prepared. He also claimed that the existing KP Oli led government would work more actively and would do effective development works.

Earlier Prachanda unveiled the Peace Monument in Sikles of Kaski this afternoon. Sculpturer Narad Hartamchhali Kalang made that monument on behalf of Madi Rural Municipality. Rs 1 million has been invested for this monument.

Villagers also contributed to establish this monument which is the symbool of peace as then CPN Maoists leaders Prachanda and Dr Baburam Bhattarai had ended their underground life and a decade long civil war in 2006.

Nepali Congress leader Sitaula, Gandaki Province assembly member Man Bahadur Gurung and Madi Rural Municipality chairman Bed Bahadur Gurung Shyam also bspoke in the program.
