4 persons killed in Morang tea house fire

Pokhara—Four members of a family died of burning when fire broke out at Harakpur in Kanipokhari Rural Municipality- 3 of Morang district this morning.

According to Ilaka Police Office Pathari Inspector Rajan Karki, the two storey wooden retail grocery shop caught fire killing four. Deceased are identified as owner Chandra Bahadur Rai, 55, his mother Ganga Maya Rai, 86, his wife Parvati Rai, 46 and sister Bishnu Maya Rai, 44.

Three fire engines were used to douse the fire that started at 3 am. Short circuit has been believed the cause of firing and the police investigation is underway, informed Inspector Karki.
