Four children die in temporary pool

Rautahat—Four children from single family were killed when they sank in a temporary pool created while constructing road in Nepal’s Rautahat District today. They were bathing in a eight feet deep pool created in Garudha-Panitanki road section at Garuda- 4. Deceased are identified Sangita Kumari Shah, 12, Sunita Shah, 9, Sunaina Shah, 9 and Sushmita Shah, 9.

They all are the daughter of brothers from same family. Sunaina is the daughter of Jogen Shah and Sangita and Sunita are the daughters of Ram Yekwal Shah. Sushmita is the daughter of Prem Narayan Shah. Children who were on the way to collect feedings (grasses) for their cattle had reached poolside for bathing as they suffered from hot sun. According to Police Inspector Keshav Regmi, children’s dead bodies have been sent to District Hospital Gaur.
