PCCI welcomes Western Regional Administrator, Kaski CDO

Pokhara—Western Regional Administrator Begendra Raj Sharma Paudel cautioned that the federalism could face problem due to the possible economic crisis in respective provinces.

Speaking in a program organized by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to welcome him and Kaski Chief District Officer Tara Nath Sharma, Paudel said that the provinces might go through hard time to accumulate the budget to construct the infrastructures.

Administrator Sharma suggested political leadership to think and take initiatives for road construction from Muktinath to Susta for the prosperity of province number IV. Sharma also made clear that Pokhara is not suitable for industries of large scale.

Another guest CDO Sharma said that the declining contribution of production sector in country’s GDP is the matter of worry. He warned that the country may come into crisis any time if the concern bodies fail to invest remittance in production sector. CDO Sharma suggested private sector to make 6-lane highway from Kotre to Pokhara.

PCCI Chairman Bishwo Shankar Palikhe expressed his commitment that private sector is always ready to go hand in hand with government sector for the prosperity of the nation. PCCI vice chairman Rabindra Bahadur Prajoo thanked all the guests in the program hosted by PCCI General Secretary Damu Adhikari.
